From The East…… Take the M5 motorway
to Exeter & then the A30 as far as
Okehampton. Proceed to the town of
Okehampton and in the centre of the
town you will come to a crossroads
with traffic lights. Continue
straight on through the lights and
drive out of the town up a winding
tree lined road (the ruins of the
castle will be on your left).
Approximately one mile after the
town take a right turn - signposted
Northlew, Bude etc. After
approximately ½ a mile take another
right turn on the brow of an incline
, once again signposted Northlew.
Continue along the road until you
reach a crossroads. Go straight over
the crossroads as this is the road
to Northlew, it is a country road
for approximately 6 miles. ( A
landmark is the Grange Equestrian
Centre which you will pass after a
couple of miles).
On approaching the village of
Northlew there is a row of 2/3 grey
bungalows to your left,
approximately 30 metres afterwards
the road bends sharply round to your
left. On this bend there will be 2
entrances in front of you, take the
left entrance signed ‘The Granary’ -
there is a tarmac parking area next
to an old stone barn and a flagpole
usually flying a Union Jack. Our
office is located in the orchard, it
is a wooden log building between the
old barns and the large green
warehouse.
From the West and Plymouth…. Take
the A30 to Sourton Cross (from
Plymouth the A386) and proceed past
the Shell garage and Burger King &
Travelodge. Continue for approx’ 2
miles until you come to a roundabout
( the Manor House Hotel will be on
your right). Take a right turn at
the roundabout and shortly after
take a turning to your left. Proceed
for ½ a mile and then take the 2nd
turning on your left which should be
signposted Northlew. You will then
be on a country road to Northlew
which is approximately 6 miles. (A
landmark is the Grange Equestrian
Centre which you will pass after a
couple of miles). Then follow the
2nd paragraph as above…..
